Therapeutic actions:
Silymarin is a hepatoprotector which works by inhibiting the effects of
free radicals and turns them into less toxic substances. The clinical
effect are manifested by overall improvement of liver condition,
pathology improvement and less toxical effects.<
Indications: The drug is indicated in treatment of toxic liver dysfunction and their prophylaxis such as:
- Alcoholism
- Halogen intoxication
- Heavy metal intoxications
- Drug intoxications
- Chronic hepatitis
- Liver cirrhosis
- Dystrophy
- Lipid metabolism dysfunctions
Contraindications and cautions:
The drug must not be used if any hypersensitivity toa ny components of
the preparation has been monitored earlier. Can be used in diabetes.
Adverse effects: There
